Welcome to Tahr Bazaar

Tahr Bazaar was established in 2020 to showcase a selection of unique items created and beautifully crafted for you and your home by women artisans in Nepal. All woven items are made on a traditional Nepalese backstrap loom, common amongst the Gurung people of Nepal and thought to be the oldest form of loom in the world. 

Tahr Bazaar items are traded as fairly as possible at all times and money raised from your purchases goes to support their creators. As our items are unique, colours may vary.

We also offer a small selection of our own UK-made items. These include wooden walking sticks, musical instruments and the odd knitted jumper!
